Oh, bird of my soul, fly away now, For I possess a hundred fortified towers.

Haven’t done a Wildlife feature in a while. No better time than right now. After all it’s Midweek, time to take the leap and spread your wings. Featured in this photograph, is a Pied Kingfisher, seen in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. These birds are commonly found in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. You can lookout for them along rivers, sometimes hovering above the water surface, whilst it is on the hunt for it’s next meal. If you are driving in the Kruger National Park, and come to be about a Low Lying Bridge, Traverse this bridge carefully and slowly, and you would probably manage to capture this beautiful, black and white winged beauty, either along the river banks, or perched on the edge of the bridge.
You will never know how far you can soar, until you are prepared to spread your wings.
So, go on…Spread your WINGS and FLY.
