If You LOVE BURGERS and don’t want to disrupt your clean eating regime too much, then this IDEA of a BUN-LESS BURGER is sure to be a GUILT-FREE Treat you have been looking for.
Not too long ago, I would not have imagined myself eating a burger without the customary BUN. It’s amazing how our attitudes change, as we mature and are more open to new ideas, most especially when it comes to food and health. Now I am on NO particular DIET…But I do enjoy incorporating a lot more good food choices into our everyday meals. The idea for this had actually come from my dearest Hubby, Imran, when a while back he had been out to lunch with work colleagues, and one of them had asked the chef for a Bun-Less option to his burger. I did hear about this a long while back, but now that Imran had requested it himself, we both got cracking in the kitchen to give it a try ourselves.

Who does’t LOVE a good burger every now and then, and this Bun-Less burger is a great option if you have gluten intolerance, or on a low carb diet right now. I simply enjoyed this even without having any diet restrictions. There are loads of different ways to serve a bun-less burger, and this way I share today is just one of them. This Bun-Less Burger Idea would be AMAZING even with my GOURMET CHICKEN BURGER or my PHILLY STEAK GOURMET BURGER , that I have shared previously. Better yet, and Time permitting, Even making your own simple beef patties at home is a winner. But this time round, I made use of a store bought Burger Pattie that I had been wanting to try out😜
I do Hope you give this version of a bun-less burger a try sometime soon, and I look forward to hearing from you.
HAPPY ‘BUN-LESS BURGER’ MAKING LOVELIES

Additional Ingredients for Burger Assembly
* Lettuce Leaves
* Slices of Tomato
* Basil Pesto
* Tomato Sauce/Mayo (I did not Use here)
* Sesame Seeds
TO ASSEMBLE…
~ Prepare all the above mentioned ingredients
~ If the Portobello mushrooms are still damp/oozing water, simply dry them using kitchen paper towels
~ Place the Mushrooms, stem side up onto your platter
~ Spread a teaspoon of Basil Pesto on the insides of the Mushroom
~ Sprinkle on some Caramalized Onion
~ Next, Place the prepared Burger Pattie onto the mushrooms
~ Now follow with a Tablespoon of Jalapèno Cheese Sauce, and another teaspoon of Basil Pesto, follow with more Caramalized Onion Rings, the Tomato and Lettuce Leaves.
~ Lastly End with another Prepared Mushroom. Hold the Bunless Burger in place using Wooden skewers.
~ A FOODEVA MARSAY TRICK… Spread a tiny dot of cheese sauce onto the tops of the prepared Mushrooms, and then sprinkle on the sesame seeds, this helps the seeds better adhere to the mushroom surface, thus giving the bun-less burger a more ‘authentic’ burger look😉
NOTES by Foodeva Marsay…
* YOU can add in more ingredients like avocado, or use cheese instead of a sauce.
* It is a bit tricky to hold the burger with your hands to eat, so rather opt to use cutlery
* You can Omit the Top Mushroom, Like I did, I called it my ‘Naked Bun-less Burger’😉
* Try the burgers with any sauces you prefer, or omit it.
ENJOY
