SPICED ‘QAHWA’ LATTE Using Nespresso Master Origin INDIA
What is Spiced ‘Qahwa’ Latte? It’s my UNIQUE recipe that is a marriage and fusion of flavours inspired by Arabic Coffee (qahwa) and Masala Chai. Give this one a try, whether you are a coffee lover or not.
Sayings like, “A YAWN IS A SILENT SCREAM FOR COFFEE” and “LIFE BEGINS AFTER COFFEE”, Are ones that I couldn’t agree with more. Those people, probably, tried Nespresso ranges of coffee…and so should you!!!
Having travelled extensively, and lived in the Middle East for a short few years, is reason for my love of coffee. Never having seen so many different coffee houses before, got me wanting to sample each new coffee shop I came across. Confession Time, Seeing that I had developed a serious love for Coffee, my better half saw fit to gift me a Nepresso Lattissima Touch coffee maker when we lived in Bahrain😍. Now, many years later, My Nespresso Coffee maker, still proudly takes pride of position on my kitchen counter top, even here in South Africa.
Personally, I prefer sticking to the lower intensity range of coffees, like the Nespresso Master Origin Ethiopia Blend or the Colombia Blend. BUT, that doesn’t stop me from enjoying NESPRESSO’S most INTENSE coffee blend, INDIA, or even the INDONESIA Blend, but these I ENJOY as a LATTE 😉
Have you read about my last experience with Nespresso??? Read About it HERE

This Unique recipe, was inspired by my love for Masala Chai (Chai Latte) and Qahwa (Arabic Coffee). A Coffee love that grew on me as I travelled more into the Middle Eastern parts of the world. Even Before I had the Coffee maker, I used to flavour my regular coffee, with a pinch of cardamom to mimic the taste of Arabic Coffee (qahwa). Then Along came the Nespresso Coffee Maker, and I began Brewing us this version of ‘QAHWA LATTE’, a “KARAK QAHWA”😆.
At this point allow me to advise you, not to go looking for a “spiced qahwa latte” in Middle Eastern coffee shops, the qahwa served there is purely as they have served it for generations before, a strong brewed coffee that, also has spicy notes, most especially the cardamom flavour coming through. They do sometimes add a little milk to lighten the qahwa, and is usually not sweetened, as it’s almost always served alongside FRESH DATES.
BUT HEY… Now YOU don’t have to travel the world, to taste these coffee flavours, Thanks to Nespresso Master Origin, your discovery of the world of coffee flavours, is quicker and easier.

GIVE THIS RECIPE A TRY, WITH THE NESPRESSO MASTER ORIGIN INDIA RANGE, OR ANY OTHER NESPRESSO RANGES.
Happy Spiced ‘Qahwa’ Latte making Lovelies…

NOTES by Foodeva Marsay
> You can use any of the Nespresso Master Origin Blends, or other Nespresso capsules, for this recipe.
> This technique I have made use of here, is how I prepare my Masala Chai (chai latte), it allows for better flavour incorporation of the whole spices used. You can find that recipe HERE on the blog.
> If you prefer, you may make use of powdered spices, and any type of salt.
