Be it Cooking Up A Storm or Baking Up A Frenzy, doing so with Love, makes for Thee Best End Products…agreed??? And these Butter Biscuits are super easy and oh so delicious.
Then there are times when actually stamping certain goodies, with a message, such as…Made With Love, just adds to the overall look and precious sentiments, that come with expressing yourself.
Recently, I had accompained my Betterhalf, Imran, on one of his many Visa Application runs, and this particular time brought us to Brooklyn Mall, in Pretoria(South Africa). Not our usual place for shopping, but since we were there, we decided to shop around for a new Journal Imran had needed. So we happened upon this stationary shop, the name of which escapes me now?, a small quaint little shop it was, filled with all sorts of stationary, from personal use, office use as well as stuff for Creative Hobbies such as Scrapbooking. It was in this shop that I had spotted hidden among all their treasures, a Rubber Stamp with the words Made With Love embossed on it. It is for hobbies such as scrapbooking or to seal off letters probably, which is to be used with Ink/Ink Pad…but here all I could Think of…this would make a great embossing somehwere in my Baking Adventures?. Check Out some of my Baking Adventures here on Slice Of Heaven
I just couldn’t wait to try out this stamp, and decided to give it a try on my Family Favourite Butter Biscuits. This embossed message would look awesome on pastry as well, but for now I stick to filling up those Cookie tins So Imran can tuck into when he arrives from his next Business trip?.

There is nothing better than having the Old-School, Plain and Simple Cookies, ready to Dunk in your Fav Cuppa Beverage☕️. Today I share with you, this recipe, a recipe that’s been passed along for generations in my Family, and though this Basic recipe has no add-ons, it may be adapted easily to suit any taste buds(see Adaptation Notes in recipe).
Happy Baking

Made With Love Butter Biscuits
Makes : 24-36 biscuits
Difficulty : Easy
Author : Foodeva Marsay (@foodeva_marsay)
Ingredients
250 grams Salted Butter (softened at Room Temperature)
1/2 Cup Icing Sugar
3/4 Cup Maizena (Corn Starch)
+/- 2 and 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
Method
~ Cream Butter and Icing Sugar until light and fluffy
~ Add in the Maizena (Corn Starch)
~ Make a soft dough, gradually adding flour, add 1 cup at a time, until dough is soft and doesn’t stick to fingers or mixing bowl.
~ Shape as desired. (Today I have rolled the dough slightly on a floured surface, cut with a Sqaure Cutter and used the Rubber Stamp to emboss)
~ Bake in oven at 170 degree Celsius, until lightly Golden brown in colour.

Adaptations
~Add a few drops of flavouring, such Vanilla or Almond Essence, to the creaming stage.
~Before adding flour, sperate creamed mix into smaller batches, and chopped nuts such as Pecan/Pistachios/walnuts/dried fruits may be added for a different take on this Butter Biscuits.
~Decorate as you wish, these biscuits may also be piped(piping works best with a plain dough) ,when baked, drizzle with melted Chocolate, dip ends in Melted Chocolate… The options are endless?
~Any type if embossing means may be used, there a loads of gadgets on the market these days that would be great to emboss with, but all that said, these biscuits are just fine even without any added deco?.
ENJOY!!!
