This Cheese and Fruit Board Idea, is so simple to set up with major satisfaction guaranteed, take a look at my DIY idea below.
Who doesn’t enjoy a Good Piece of Cheese or Freshly Sliced Fruit??? While Typing this out, I just had to nibble on a slice of Cheese?. Though you may find my Pic quality here not of the best standards, I urge you to please overlook this, as I had taken the pic out some 2 years ago (2014), with an older cellphone. However, I do hope this post Inspires you to try this at you next Brunch, Lunch OR Dinner.
Cheese has many benefits, and contains a host of nutrients like calcium, protein, phosphorus, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin B12.
Fruit also has endless benefits, it has been recognized as a good source of vitamins and minerals, and for their role in preventing vitamin C and vitamin A deficiencies. Fruit is considered ‘Natures Candy’ , so I say ‘Please pass on the fruit’ .
Here is my Cheese and Fruit Board I set up for a Braai with Family and Friends, all of whom throughly enjoyed tucking into this board, which I layed out at the beginning, so my guests could enjoy the nibbles before the braai/meal was ready.
What are your favourite Cheeses and Fruits?
Look forward to your feedback.

Cheese and Fruit Board

~Use an assortment of cheeses, bite sized biltong, an assortment of crackers, olives and fresh fruit.
~Here I used Camembert Cheese, blocks of Cream Cheese, Cubed Gouda to go with pickled onions and cocktail Tomato onto a toothpick/skewer,Layer these onto a bed of Salad Greens, also thinly Sliced White cheese, mild Cheddar or tussers.
~I also used a 1/4 Watermelon deseeded and cubed, keep the shell, Spanspek(Cantaloupe), strawberries, Grapes(red and green), Blueberries and Kiwi Fruit. Cut fruit with little cutters, added some to skewers/lollipop sticks and others simply filled onto the cleaned, empty Watermelon shell.
~Biltong, Add a variety of cuts or shavings to suit different palettes.
~Add the Olives, Green or black, in a seperate little dish, and place onto the cheese board.
~Have extra toothpicks/skewers as well as small serving plates, nearby so your guests can easily help themselves.
~arrange all these attractively on a large Board or Platter.
And Enjoy?
*Notes by Foodeva Marsay*…
– you could bake the Camembert Cheese for a little while and top with nuts and honey, but it is perfect served as is as well.
– you could also use thinly sliced cold cut meats instead of biltong.

Thank You:-)
I am a big fan of cheeses and fruits served together. Unfortunately, the only time I see them is on board flights! Nobody ever goes the extra mile to have it on their party menu! So tempting!
