These divinely delicious, Creamy Cheesy Garlic Rolls, are smoothered in a creamy garlic sauce and garlic butter, topped with a with golden crown of melted cheese.
Who doesn’t enjoy a slice of garlic bread sometimes. A perfect option as a starter or as a side accompaniment to your seafood, chicken or any meat dishes.
This BLOG POST AND RECIPE was Inspired by my dearest cousin Waseela Rahiman, who had shared her idea on how to make these yummy garlic rolls. For those that follow me on My Facebook Page or Instagram, would know how I LOVE creating something New from left-overs. What I fondly term as my “WANT NOT-WASTE NOT” ideas. That is exactly what I did with today’s whip up.
Having bought some store bought bread rolls recently, I had a few left overs that had been sitting in my bread bin, knowing I had to make use of them before they turned mouldy. My best bet for them, were to turn them into these Lipsmackingly – Delicious CREAMY CHEESY GARLIC ROLLS.
Here is my Version of this idea, one that I always turn to when I need some garlicky rolls. You may use fresh rolls if you please or like me, a couple days old rolls are just fine.
Creamy Cheesy Garlic Rolls
YOU WILL NEED
• 4 store bought Rolls (stale rolls are prefectly fine too)
• 3/4 cup GARLIC Sauce à la Foodeva Marsay
… How to Make
~ 3/4 cup milk
~ 1 Tablespoon Butter
~ 2 Tablespoon Flour
~ 3-4 Tablespoon Steers Garlic Sauce (or any other brand)
~ 4 Tablespoon Fresh Cream (optional)
~ 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
~ salt and pepper
> Make up garlic sauce with these ingredients, like you would a regular white sauce.
• Garlic Butter
• Shredded Gouda/Cheddar Cheese
♡ Make up the Garlic sauce, by heating milk and butter, add the flour and rest of ingredients and whisk until smooth and thickened.
♡ Grease a large enough oven casserole with a non stick spray
♡ Add a spread of Garlic sauce to bottom of casserole
♡ Now make slits into the bread rolls and stick in some of your favourite garlic butter (as little or more as you prefer), and place into casserole
♡ Now top the prepared garlic sauce liberally over the rolls and try getting some into the slits on the rolls
♡ Cover with foil and bake for 10-15 minutes, then remove the foil and top with shredded cheese.
♡ Return to oven, uncovered and allow to crisp up a little and cheese melts. Lower heat of oven as you would want the entire rolls to be warmed through.
♡ Top with freshly Chopped Curly Leaf Parsley. Best served immediately with your favourite protein meal.
