Whoooaaah…….before anyone bites my head off, I know You going to say “Bahraini Scones???” ?…and You will be right in thinking so Or searching through Google, that there isn’t any such traditional type of scone on this little Kingdom of Bahrain. But since this is a Recipe I worked on here during my sojourn in Bahrain, so rightfully this Delicious and Light Scones , deserves some type of Royal recognition??, and once you have given this Easy, No Fuss Recipe a try, I’m sure you would be in agreement with Me?. Here take a look, can be whipped up from start to finish, in 30 minutes, OR LESS, no mixers or fancy gadgets needed, just a little chopping and dough is made by using a light hand?. Now all that’s left to do…is Sit Back, and Enjoy these warm, baked goodies, with your fav hot cuppa.

Bahraini Cheesy Garlic Scones (Marsay Style)
Ingredients
2 cups Self Rising Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp sugar
1 1/2 TBLSP Butter
1/2 cup roughly chopped/grated Cheddar Cheese
1/2 tsp dried Mixed Herbs / fresh chopped chives
1 tsp finely chopped garlic
±3/4 Cup Plain Yogurt
Method:
~Place self rising flour, salt n sugar into a mixing bowl
~rub in the butter
~add the rest of the ingredients
~make a soft dough with the yogurt, don’t over work the dough, just until ingredients are well combined.
~pat out dough onto floured surface, cut into rounds/wedges/any shapes desirable.
~lightly brush tops with milk
~Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 10-15 mins Or until lighlty browned on top
