A Throwback to when Colouring had been Child’s Play…Not anymore, now I plan to Enjoy the Simple things In life…even if that means Bringing out the CHILD IN ME ….again.😜🙏
I had been planning to get down to doing some Colouring, YES COLOURING , for a while now, and this Is exactly what I needed to help me De-Stress, Help me heal using Colour as Therapy. Don’t let anyone tell YOU “Colouring is For Kids”…we Adults can benefit lots from this age old technique. Bring out YOUR artistic side, you don’t have to to Complete your Colouring Projects all in One sitting it’s about “Relaxing and Enjoying the Process”.
And What are the likelihood that when I searched for adult pics to colour-in, over the Internet…this particular one immediately grabbed my attention. So This I dedicate to my recently Late Mum, My 1st and Only Teacher (Without a primary/secondary education/degree)…who relentlessly made sure I knew how to hold a Pen, and make use of it. (God Bless Her)
I Had no particualr “vision” for the outcome of this pic but just went with the flow, with a very limited stationery, I am amazed at the outcome. When I sit back now and try to interpret this….it says a lot to me, and I’m talking about the colours and their significance.
I am NO psychologist, but this is how I interpret the pic after adding colour to it….
The Green > depicting LIFE, Freshness, Birth
The Blue > Like Waves….waves of Life we experience
The Various colours inside > Depicts the emotions in Life, Some Strong and Vibrant moments and Some Subtle “downplayed”
The Pink (HEART) > all through no matter what Life throws at you, the Rhythm and Beat to Life is centred on a “Mother’s Love” .
NOW do you see that COLOURING isn’t only for Kids. I would recommend you all to give this form of art a try and watch how it adds value to your life.
