Tangy and Spicy Prawns

This is my go to recipe for a Tangy and Spicy Prawns.  A seafood dish, that is easy to prepare and bursting with Indian flavours.

Prawns is ones of my Hubby dearest’s Favourite of the shellfish varieties.  While I on the other hand, do no eat any types of shellfish.  I remember growing up, watching my female family members prepare a variety of Shellfish, or curries, and they always joked with me … “HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PREPARE THIS FOR YOUR HUSBAND?”. Yeah…I DO NOT EAT SHELLFISH OR CURRIES? #Confessiontime . And from those jokes, I always replied back…”WELL HE MUST EAT WHAT I EAT”?…oh the age of Innocence is so filled with pleasant memories.

WELL…Rest Assured, All my family members know I can cook up a mean CURRY or any type of ShellFish now.  The reason I bring this up, is to INSPIRE you my readers, To KNOW, that even if you are different from the rest, we each have our own taste preferences or are able to excel at somethings better.  Always remember, That if you put your heart and soul into anything, you are sure to be a winner.  We have to 1st attempt to do something, and I mean not just in the kitchen, before we can see that result.  So even if, like me, you don’t eat a certain type of dish, at least do give making it a go.

So like I was saying, This Tangy and Spicy Prawns, is a rather simple dish to prepare.  It is versatile enough to be prepared on the braai/barbecue, in the oven or on the stove top.  I enjoy this marinade with chicken, or steak,  as well.  Without any added store bought sauces, this recipe is healthy enough to try on any diet, and if you need more of a saucy end result, you can add in a little tomato paste, but then cut off amount of lemon juice added.
